Communication, Publicity and PR
Role
To promote the work of the CSCB, develop public
awareness of safeguarding issues and publicise the
message that the safeguarding of children and young
people, and the promotion of their welfare, is
everyone’s business.
Terms of Reference and Responsibilities

To develop, implement and periodically review a communications strategy.

To develop CSCB information aimed at the public, children and young people, parents/carers and professionals.

To ensure that the work of the CSCB is communicated to the wider professional audience in Calderdale through the use of newsletters, a website, occasional conferences and appropriate promotional material.

To develop and maintain a CSCB website.

To develop and implement Safeguarding campaigns.
-
Ensuring that policies and procedures are effectively disseminated and publicised.
-
To develop media links.
Frequency of Meetings
Quarterly minimum.
Accountability
Report to the Board on a quarterly basis.
