Communication and Communities Sub-group

Role
To promote the work of the CSCB, develop public awareness of safeguarding issues and publicise the message that the safeguarding of children and young people, and the promotion of their welfare, is everyone’s business.

Terms of Reference and Responsibilities

  1. To develop, implement and periodically review a communications strategy.

  2. To develop CSCB information aimed at the public, children and young people, parents/carers and professionals reflecting the priorities of the Board.

  3. To ensure that the work of the CSCB is communicated to the wider professional audience in Calderdale through the use of newsletters, a website, occasional conferences and appropriate promotional material.

  4. To ensure that the work of the CSCB is communicated appropriately to the wider population of Calderdale

  5. To develop and maintain the CSCB website.

  6. To develop and implement Safeguarding campaigns to reflect CSCB priorities

  7. To ensure that policies and procedures are effectively disseminated and publicised.

  8. To develop media links.

Frequency of Meetings
Quarterly minimum.

Accountability
Report to the Board on a quarterly basis.
