Protection from Abuse of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE)

Terms of Reference

To promote and support the West Yorkshire Protection from Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) Protocol.
To identify and monitor the number of children and young people at risk of CSE and those that are actively involved in CSE.
To identify and promote relevant services (statutory/voluntary) that provide support to children and young people involved in CSE and develop constructive multi-agency partnerships.
To develop expertise, strategies and a multi agency response to the prevention, protection, prosecution and support/exiting for children and young people involved with CSE.
To develop appropriate materials/resources to support practitioners including residential care staff/foster carers in supporting children and young people at risk of or involved in CSE.
To take a lead role in developing practice guidance.
To identify and facilitate any training needs of partnership agencies including Police, Education, Health, Housing etc to promote awareness and increase multi agency working.
To develop and maintain a knowledge base on national policy and government guidance relevant to commercial sexual exploitation.
To identify funding sources to enable the continuation of the ‘Protection from Commercial Sexual Exploitation’ Project.
To develop a strategic plan comprising a business plan and action plan structured upon the Prevention, Protection, Prosecution, Exit/Support framework.
